There are two ways that addressing the microbiome may be able to help:
- If during the phase of life where the microbiome is providing education of the immune system, addressing imbalances early can help with proper immune education. The microbiome is changing and evolving a lot in the first 5 years of life. That is an ideal time to help intervene.
- The microbiome at any age may trigger inflammatory symptoms if it is inflamed. This can weaken the gut lining, cause leakiness of inflammation and can trigger the immune system. This is ideal to address at any age, at any time.
