Affiliates are those who have an active social media presence/ base of followers who they share recommendations, education and insights.
Practitioners are those who work directly with clients/patients and use health or lab data to make individual recommendations for health and wellness.
You can be both an affiliate and a practitioner!
Affiliate codes: The purchaser gets $20 off and the affiliate receives a commission
Affiliates work hard to build a trusted audience and we feel that they should receive revenue for sharing that audience with Tiny Health. Use your affiliate code when sharing widely, or with non-patients (they can always convert to patients later though!)
Practitioners no longer have practitioner codes. When recommending a kit to a patient, we suggest purchasing through your practitioner account to receive the practitioner pricing so there is no ‘pay-to-play’ conflict of interest. In some states, it is illegal for practitioners to receive compensation for tests they order for patients.
Bottom line: If you are both a practitioner and an affiliate, we generally recommend using your practitioner account when ordering tests for your own patients, and using your affiliate code when sharing with your broader audience or community. While we don’t regulate when each is used, this approach helps maintain transparency and aligns with best practices.
