What’s the difference between the Baby Gut Health Test and Child Gut Health Test? Are they processed or compared differently?

The testing process is the same across all of our kits. The physical collection swab, which preserves the stool sample, is identical for all ages. The main difference lies in the analysis, which is tailored to age-appropriate metrics. These metrics are determined based on the birthdate provided in your intake survey.

This is why we offer different reports, such as the Baby Report and Child Report, with varying metrics. We want to ensure that users understand that the metrics in the Baby Report differ from those in the Child Report, as we customize the analysis based on the age at the time of sampling. Although you can purchase any of the tests, the report will be adjusted to reflect the age of the person providing the sample.
