For babies: Take another gut sample after 4 weeks and we can analyze the levels of beneficial Bifidobacterium detected in your baby’s gut. We recommend pausing the probiotic for 3 days before taking the next sample so we can get a true reading of what has colonized the baby’s gut.
However, there are earlier signs you can look for: a change in color, consistency, smell and/or frequency of stools can be an early sign that the gut is shifting, although not every baby has a visible difference even when their gut microbiome has shifted.
