Wondering if you collected enough stool for your Tiny Health sample? Our technology works with even a tiny stool sample. Please refer to the examples below for guidance on how much stool to collect and what to do if you collected too little or too much.
What to do if you collect too little stool (undersample)
- Do not collect additional stool from a later bowel movement or add more stool to the same swab.
- If you are concerned that you did not collect enough stool, contact our Support Team at hello@tinyhealth.com to purchase a replacement swab.
- A replacement swab can only be purchased before you ship your sample.
- Once your sample is received by our lab, the full processing cost is incurred and we cannot issue a replacement.
What to do if you collect too much stool (oversample)
- If you collected too much stool on the swab, gently wipe away the excess using clean, unsoiled toilet paper.
- All stool remaining on the swab should be in direct contact with the swab. Stool that is not touching the swab may not be properly preserved by the swab’s active drying agent.
- If you are unable to remove the excess stool, or if you accidentally put stool inside the collection tube, contact our Support Team at hello@tinyhealth.com to purchase a replacement swab.
- A replacement swab can only be purchased before you ship your sample.
- Once your sample is received by our lab, the full processing cost is incurred and we cannot issue a replacement.
Still Unsure?
- Please email us (at hello@tinyhealth.com) with a clear photo of your swab so we can confirm if you need to get a replacement swab.
