Do I need to wait after using topical antibiotics?

Topical antibiotics are fine to use and don't require any delay before sampling. The same applies to antibiotic eye or ear drops—anything that works locally on a small area of the body won't affect sample accuracy. However, oral or intravenous (IV) antibiotics will delay sampling and should be avoided beforehand.
