No, you do not need to refrigerate the sample.
Our gut health test kits are designed with convenience and stability in mind. Each swab contains built-in desiccants—special moisture-absorbing agents that help preserve the integrity of your stool sample.
Once you've collected your sample, simply place the swab back in its original container and close it properly (you should hear a click). There's no need to store it in the fridge or freezer.
While the sample can last for weeks, we recommend mailing it back as soon as possible for the most accurate results.
This does not apply to our stool chemistry tests.
