In a fecal microbiome test, accidental skin contact during sample collection is very unlikely to meaningfully affect your results. The microbial load in stool is extremely high compared to skin, meaning that any bacteria transferred from skin would represent only a very small fraction of the total sample.
As long as the stool was properly collected according to the instructions, the results will still accurately reflect the gut microbiome. Incidental contact during handling is common and generally does not impact the overall reliability or interpretation of the test.
